Forthcoming Retirement of Sam Bourne and Sue Lambert 01/03/2010
As many in the industry will be aware, both Sam Bourne and Sue Lambert are due to retire from their roles within The Yacht Harbour Association (TYHA) on the 31 March this year.

During his 11-year employment as Chairman and CEO of TYHA, Sam has carried out a tremendous amount of work with particular emphasis on encouraging the improving standards of marinas, largely by promoting the Gold Anchor Award Scheme. Sam has also devoted much of his time to promoting TYHA to overseas marinas, resulting in securing a great many friends and new members all over the world.

Spanning an admirable 24 years, Sue’s time as Association Secretary at TYHA has seen many changes and featured much variety. Publishing the “Fore and Aft” quarterly magazine, organising TYHA Summer Visits, countless overseas visits, AGMs and in recent years the ‘Which Marina’ stand at the Tullett Prebon London International Boat Show skim the surface of the tasks she has taken in her stride, not to mention the continued support she offers to members at the end of the phone.

The TYHA Management Council have organised a Retirement Dinner for Sam and Sue to be held at the Royal Southampton Yacht Club on Wednesday 24th March 2010, and invitations have gone out to all Members.

Contact details for replacement personnel will be notified to all Members in due course.
