British Waterways - Policy relating to offline and online long term moorings
British Waterways have developed through consultation with TYHA, a policy to reduce online moorings within their network of canals and rivers. This policy commits to reducing on line moorings within a 30 mile radius of each new marina at a ratio of 1:10 within 12 months of a new marina opening.
  EVENTS

 TYHA Summer Visit
Wednesday 11th July 2007 
The annual TYHA summer visit will take place this year on Wednesday 11th July 2007, providing an interesting day out in Suffolk visiting Marinas on the River Orwell:
  • Ipswich Haven Marina
  • Fox's Marina
  • Suffolk Yacht Harbour
  • Woolverstone Marina
  • Shotley Marina
The itinerary will be as follows:

09:30 - Meet at Ipswich Haven Marina, Coffee and tour of the Marina

10:45 - Depart for tour of Fox's Marina

11:30 - Depart for tour of Suffolk Yacht Harbour

12:30 - Depart for Woolverstone Marina

13:00 - Lunch in Royal Harwich Yacht Club

14:45 - Tour of Woolverstone Marina

15:30 - Depart for tour of Shotley Marina

16:30 - Return to Ipswich Haven Marina

Julian Goldie from Tollesbury Marina has kindly offered to host a drinks reception at the Tollesbury Cruising Club overlooking his Marina in Tollesbury, Essex. For those of you who have not visited the Marina before, the Club is excellent and has a superb patio area to enjoy the evening sunshine and indeed a swim in the magnificent pool for the healthy ones—don’t forget to bring your cameras!!

Following this reception there is an opportunity to enjoy a three course dinner with wine at an extra cost—please see Booking Form and be sure to return your menu choices
