The British Marine Federation (BMF) and Royal Yachting Association (RYA) have launched a simplified guide aimed at providing information on marine related planning issues to local authorities and key decision makers. The aim of the new guide is to raise awareness among decision makers of the essential requirements for marine based developments.
For example - the kind of facilities required on land to accompany water-based activity centres, the case for additional moorings and improved access. The guide provides context with recently published facts and figures and highlights key recommendations from BMF and RYA's acclaimed Planning Guide for Boating Facilities, January 2005.
